Imagine if your bosses lied to you, blocked you from saving your co-workers and friends, and lied shamelessly and repeatedly to the American public about the reasons for their deaths? That is what our leaders have done. It is time for the truth.
As I watched the Capitol Hill hearings on the deadly consulate attack by jihadists, I was amazed (with this current administration I shouldn’t have been) that testimony showed how the State Department spurned requests for increased security at the compound. Obama and Clinton’s claims were contradicted and their cover-up which they spun on the American people proved them to be liars. Now, I am not surprised by that. They have been lying for years and they’re politicians. It’s in their blood.
My problem is “why” would they order military resources to stand down? Why would our Commander-in-Chief allow Americans in our embassy to die? As Special Forces prepared to fly from Tripoli to Benghazi to save lives during the attacks,Gregory Hicks (deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Libya and highest-ranking U.S. diplomat in the country at the time of the Benghazi jihad attacks) said the team received a phone call from the U.S. Special Operations Command Africa telling them “you can’t go” and that the decision was “purely political.” Why?
While this corrupt and vengeful White House wields the sharpest axes and biggest grindstones and the casualty count in Obama’s war on whistleblowers is double-digit, I am proud of these Americans brave enough to tell the truth. Will they get justice for their fallen friends and co-workers? Fellow Americans? I hope they continue on the course of truth. But, this White House has ways of dealing with whistle-blowers.
For instance, Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius threatened to crack down on health insurers for candidly tying Obamacare mandates to rising premiums — something that Sebelius herself now acknowledges. Team Obama lambasted whistle-blowing companies such as Deere, Caterpillar, Verizon and ATT for speaking out about the cost implications and financial burdens of Obamacare — and then cheered from the sidelines while Democratic Rep. Henry Waxman attempted to haul the firms up for a congressional inquisition.
What we must remember is that President Obama and the members of his administration are public servants.They serve on behalf of the American people. President Obama took a solemn oath before God and the American people to faithfully execute his duties before assuming office. I say we are looking at treason. He has betrayed the trust of the people whom he was to protect. He has breached the faith and violated his oath.
Our Ambassador to Libya was murdered in Benghazi, and the inquiry into this is a murder investigation. If anyone issued a threat in any way, shape, or form to those who were in Benghazi in order to obfuscate or cover up the truth of what happened, it is a criminal act.
Those who were in Benghazi were putting their lives on the line serving the American people. It is absolutely intolerable after nearly being killed in the line of duty that anyone would threaten them if they talked. May they continue to talk, to tell the truth. May the families of those murdered get answers. May we as a country support them.
As Abraham Lincoln said, “that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion—that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain—that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom—and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
